Army Reserves anyone?
Ok this is a true cry for help. I need advice and soon. I have been looking into joining the army reserves. But im not sure if there is another "military" thats better?! I want something im going to enjoy. And well my parents are NOT supporting me in my decision. So I am asking ANYONE who reads this blog to please comment. It doesnt matter what you have to say I want to hear it. I am going test wed. So please hurry. And help me make the right decision please. Oh and today ive taken my "practice" test and scored a 43 (out of a 99) im not sure if im proud or ashamed.But it was/is a passing grade lol. And it was spur of the moment hurry and think type of thing I was in no way prepared for it.

Honey I'm thinking that's not a career choice for a young married Mom with three kids at home. It's one thing if you would have been in already when you had your children, but the thing is, what will you do if you're deployed?
I would have to agree with MB you have three LO's that need you at home. From what I look at on the army reserve site the pay isn't good after two years of service ranking as a private you are only making $2,363/M after the first 4 months of service that's less than 30,000 yearly you could make more than that working retail sales.
well im still not sure but most signs point to no but the way my parents are acting it just makes me want to "show" them i can and kirsten im not working right now and the money really didnt bother me (i guess it wasnt a big bonus or a negative for me)i think i may try and take the test to see if i pass from what i understand i can take it with no obligation oh and the other bonus was the schooling this was my main reason
Joining the military is definitely not a decision you should make to simply prove someone wrong. Reservesists are being deployed up to a year, what would happen to your kids if you were gone for an extended amount of time? Also, just my two cents and not that I'm telling you to join because I agree with MB, but Air Force is the way to go.
